Taba Protected Area

Location: Gulf of Aqaba

Situation:
Taba reserve is situated in the southwest of Taba,
with an area of 3590 square kilometers

Importance:
Taba reserve includes geological formation caves mountainous passages and network of valleys.

The region embraces some natural springs surrounded by plantation gardens visited by Bedouins.

Merits:
Taba reserve is characterized by rich diversity of rare animals and plants exposed to the extinction danger.

It is a habitat of 25 kinds of mammals, 50 kinds of rare resident birds and 24 kinds of reptiles. As for plants, there are 480 kinds of extinct kinds.

It is also characterized by the existence of antiquity dating back to 5000 years ago, rare wildlife and traditional heritage of resident Bedouins.
